Candidates must possess a D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from an accredited North American Dental dental school and be eligible to obtain a limited dental license from the Ordre des dentistes du Québec. (A limited license can be issued by the Ordre des dentistes du Québec without prior testing of French language competency.)The language of instruction is English. The student is expected to have a working knowledge of the English language (comprehension, spoken, and written) from the outset of the M.D.,C.M. program. Due to early clinical exposure in bilingual settings, the student is also expected to have a working knowledge of the French language (comprehension, spoken, and written) from the outset of the M.D.,C.M. program.
